This presentation by Dr. Simeon Hein explores the idea that many so-called paranormal phenomena may arise from self-organized plasmas and related coherent-matter effects. Across diverse contexts Bigfoot encounters, UFO sightings, crop circle formations, and apparitions at locations such as Skinwalker Ranch in Utah and Marley Woods in Missouri witnesses consistently report luminous spheres, structured light forms, sudden temperature shifts, electromagnetic anomalies, and disruptions of electronics. These signatures strongly resemble properties of high-density, self-ordering plasmas observed in laboratory research and ball lightning.

Dr. Hein will draw on work in cold fusion and LENR experiments, where coherent matter domains, charge-cluster formations, and transient low-permittivity regions produce unusual energetic behaviors, including unexpected particle emissions, acoustic signatures, and localized changes in material structure. Similar plasma-cluster dynamics have been proposed by researchers such as Ken Shoulders, whose EVOs exhibit rapid motion, geometric self-organization, and interactions with matter that mirror field effects reported at paranormal hotspots. This research also suggests explanations for how remote viewing may work, allowing for non-local perception and accurate descriptions by remote viewers of distant locations.
By comparing eyewitness accounts with experimental plasma phenomena, this presentation proposes that many “paranormal” events may be expressions of exotic but natural self-organized states of matter forming temporarily in the environment. These coherent plasma systems could create Earth Lights mistaken for solid craft, induce patterned ground effects like crop circles, distort perception, and even generate transient biological-like signatures that witnesses interpret as cryptids or apparitional beings.

ABOUT SIMEON HEIN Ph.D
Simeon Hein, Ph.D. is a sociologist, author, and researcher best known for his work exploring the intersection of frontier science, consciousness studies, and anomalous phenomena. He earned his doctorate in sociology from Washington State University, where he focused on statistics, research methods, and social change.
Since the mid-1990s, Dr. Hein has taught and practiced remote viewing—a form of intuition training originally developed under U.S. government research—and founded the Mount Baldy Institute to study subtle-energy and consciousness-related phenomena.
Hein’s books, including Opening Minds, Black Swan Ghosts, and Dark Matter Monsters, examine topics such as crop circles, Bigfoot, UFOs, and the possibility of unseen energetic dimensions of reality. Through his lectures, workshops, and media appearances, Hein promotes open-minded scientific inquiry into unexplained events and the hidden capacities of human perception.
