Ancient Egypt A Deeper View of Our Human Past

ANCIENT
EGYPT
A Deeper View of Our Human Past

Merrie WycoffMerrie Wycoff
Researcher l Author l Producer l Visionary

Rev. Dr. Merrie P Wycoff shares how Ancient Egypt has captivated the world’s imagination for centuries, drawing fascination with its enigmatic culture, grand monuments, and timeless mysteries. During the Victorian era, Europeans indulged in macabre dinner parties where mummies were unwrapped for entertainment. The Egyptian Antiquities Department, for a time, permitted the excavation and export of the most exquisite and rare Pharaonic artifacts to museums worldwide—only to later recognize that these priceless relics belonged in their own homeland.

A Culture of Profound Elegance & Beauty

Meanwhile, archaeologists often lead foreign-funded excavations in Egypt, granted permits by the Egyptian Antiquities Department. These universities possess the resources and expertise for digging, mapping, recording, and advanced testing methods such as X-raying and carbon dating. However, a modern debate has emerged over the ethics of exhuming mummified ancestors for museum display. Should these remains be used to promote tourism and cultural heritage, or should they be left undisturbed out of respect for the dead? Although Merrie P Wycoff earned her Egyptology certificate at Manchester University, her true education began during a trip to Egypt in 2003. There, she studied under the esteemed Wisdom Keeper on the Giza Plateau, Abd’El Hakim Awyan, who introduced her to the ancient, living African traditions of Kemet, which stretch back 50,000 years. Through her presentation, Merrie hopes to share some of the profound Mysteries of History, offering a deeper ‘overstanding’ of the truths that lie within.

Understanding Egypt from Different Points of View

Merrie P. Wycoff earned her B.A. in Public Relations in 1980 at CSUC in California. After moving to LA, she was a Hollywood Producer at ‘Entertainment Tonight,’ in the late 80’s. Merrie & Jeff Wycoff launched Zap Restorer in 1991, through the direct response industry. They moved to Colorado in 1998 and bought Autumn Hill International Equestrian Center. Merrie earned her MA, and Ph. D in Comparative Religion at the University of Sedona and wrote six books, two were award-winning Amazon bestsellers. Recently, Merrie and her oldest daughter, Azuraye have repurposed the Yellow Barn Farm into Bouder’s premiere Regenerative Farm, having planted 8,500 carbon sequestering fruit trees upon the historic 100-acre property. Drylands Agroecology Research donated 2,000 lbs. of vegetables to our BIPOC FoodShare’s.
