The Stan Romanek Experiences from the Investigator’s Account and Perspective (Currently under revision & completion)

From all accounts this appears to be the world’s most documented ongoing case involving UFOs and Extraterrestrial contact. This is an amazing account of one individual’s continuing extraordinary experiences defying both rational and scientific explanations.

Beginning in the year 2000 Stan Romanek videotaped his first known encounter with a UFO just east of Red Rocks Amphitheater located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains immediately west of Denver, Colorado. This first daylight video was only the beginning of long and amazing journey of bizarre and unexplainable events that continue to this day on a near weekly basis.

If you have ever wondered about the UFO phenomena this will likely be one of the most thought provoking and collectively compelling accounts regarding the growing worldwide phenomena of UFOs and Extraterrestrial experiences. One of the most compelling aspects is that his highly unique experiences continue on a near weekly basis.

Stan Romanek is an unwitting participant thrust into this bizarre and twisted series of events involving government agents, extraterrestrial beings, unusual craft, balls of light, threats, floating objects, bizarre communications, advanced scientific equations, implants and much more. If it weren’t for video and audio recordings, photos, physical evidence, police reports and hundreds of witnesses confirming these accounts he and others would question his sanity.

As a strong skeptic up until the year 2000 on any and all paranormal matters his experiences have made him question reality on many levels. Again, if not for the myriad of witnesses, and other hard evidence this unfolding story would be very difficult to believe even for him as he readily admits.

The information and evidence of Stan’s experiences will likely change your perception of the world and humanity forever. That is unless you are one of those that have already had personal experiences in this arena. A book documenting his experiences “Messages”, was published in 2009 and a video documentary presenting this story to the world are being worked on. Stan has started presenting this information to the general public covering portions of these remarkable experiences. His public presentations include photos, audio and video recordings that are certain to resonate at a deep level encouraging us to perceive our world and universe in a different way.

Stan Romanek’s experiences provide the evidence most have been asking for to help us accept the presence of other intelligent life and complex realities that transcend our current sciences and cultural beliefs. It is not a easy matter to accept or digest for most but it appears to be a reality everyone will be forced to deal with soon.

Hundreds of highly credentialed military, government and corporate contractors participating in classified projects and experiences have come forward in the past several years to reveal their personal awareness of, and involvement in, the UFO/ ET phenomena. I, Rick Nelson, am a curious person that looks for answers to the most important questions that impact mankind. Since the mid 1980s I have made an exerted effort to research, investigate and document anything that can shed light on such highly controversial matters.

After researching reports, gathering information I then traveled to locations where various paranormal events were frequently reported. it became apparent there were clearly things going on that defied any rational explanation in a number of these cases. My expectation is to find rational explanations as I explore and sometimes experience these supernatural claims and events. These experiences I was having with others that joined me on these outings were quite compelling motivating me to devote more and more of my time to exploration and understanding. At first I was just curious and spent time following up on stories that were difficult to believe.

As I grew older I had run across reports of events from people who I personally know and trust that were quite compelling. Information I had read and some reports on television were also persuasive generating more interest on my part. Beginning as a skeptic I was surprised I started encountering situations that defied all rational explanation. These experiences started happening in greater numbers than I would have expected. I was then motivated to conduct critical investigations/ research on paranormal matters and became more aggressive in my pursuit and analytical processing.

In 2004 I had seen a local TV News broadcast in Denver which showed a very credible appearing video of a man’s bizarre experiences in the western suburbs of Denver. This video coverage appeared to be a UFO being witnessed and videotaped with other families that happened to be in the park having a kids birthday celebration. The witnesses comments including children on the video as the event was being filmed by more than one person was quite stirring. It was so compelling I went on a mission to find this person. My search led me to discover this man had moved out of Colorado and was “in hiding” to hopefully escape his experiences and the ensuing craziness the public attention had created.

After some time I had been invited to a birthday party of, what turned out to be, Stan Romanek’s closest friend. Much to my surprise Stan and his wife had recently moved from Nebraska to Colorado Springs and joined the celebration. Again, my conversations with he and his wife Lisa resonated as quite genuine. After developing a respectful rapport with the couple I was eventually invited to visit their home they had moved to in Colorado Springs. I was fascinated at the photos, videos, materials and stories he and the family members shared. It was soon apparent this family was having a very difficult time trying to understand their constant exposure to very unexplainable and frustrating events.

Stan just seemed like an average guy. His wife Lisa is a farm girl from Nebraska with all the common sense and practicality you could ever hope to find in a person. She was also as honest as the day is long under any circumstances which made her a great second source to question after yet another unexplainable event. The three kids at the home were having personal difficulties with their experiences but Lisa kept them as protected and she could while providing them as normal a lifestyle possible under the circumstances. A difficult task to say the least considering the kids have had to deal with situations such as hiding behind the door to their basement stairwell as strange men broke into their home not knowing the kids were there. Intruders were constantly breaking into their home and removing hard drives, stealing pictures, notes and other materials documenting Stan’s unique experiences. The kids said the boots and camouflage pants they viewed from the space under the door looked like the ones the military personnel around Colorado Springs wore. Events like this had unfortunately a routine, and eventually a lifestyle, at the Romanek family home.

I was quite inquisitive asking every quantifying and qualifying question I could think of to determining factual details to ascertain what was really going on in their lives. In short order I realized their experiences had a lot of external confirmation from strangers and other individuals, investigators and researchers I had met in the Colorado area in the course of learning about such odd happenings. Intelligent, rational people were sharing their experiences they had both with, and around, Stan that just sounded extreme to say the least. Hearing the consistent reports of bizarre activity involving Stan from various individuals had the strong ring of truth even though I was not a personal witness to these events at this point. While questioning individuals that had occasion to have met Stan I would ask if they had personally had any reason to confirm or dismiss any claims people had about him.

I was quite surprised to encounter so many witnesses sharing, to their shock and amazement, their experiences ranging from silent low level craft slowly gliding over them and other friends near Stan at treetop level to multiple car lights, alarms and even windshield wipers coming on as Stan would pass by them walking through the parking lot.

I had continued to communicate with Stan and Lisa following their experiences, many involving witnesses, police reports and video documentation of events. This investigation was filled with ongoing unexplainable activity becoming so compelling it had become my most fascinating and active investigation I was looking into presenting the greatest possibility of discovery and better understanding with confirmation through personal observation and documentation.

The Investigator/ Researcher

As a skeptic about all matters related to supernatural or paranormal events since I was a child I had felt compelled to challenge any stories suggesting these events were real rather than imagined. Growing up in the country in a rural part of Southwest Ohio the physical and cultural environment was one of practicality and nothing more. Although a few of my many aunts and uncles occasionally spoke of a premonition they had or poltergeist type activity I respectfully didn’t comment but sometimes asked investigative type questions just to see how rational their responses sounded. Even though they didn’t seem irrational I wasn’t convinced because I certainly hadn’t experienced anything. As a skeptic I felt It a little odd that I was uncomfortable with the dark while alone and loved horror movies, mysteries, and movies about ancient Egypt, deep dark jungles, science fiction and monsters.

A little background on myself would likely be helpful since I wouldn’t expect anyone to accept information on such matters without a sense of the level of discernment used by that person since I wouldn’t myself. I graduated from High School at age 17, and immediately joined the Navy to escape the limited life offered by country life miles outside a small steel mill town. My series of Navy test scores before and during boot camp fortunately provided me any choice of duty. Since I wanted to understand the most important matters going on in the world at the time and make a difference in the outcome I chose Naval Air Intelligence in hopes of being well informed and making an important contribution in the outcome of the war…another story all together.

While stationed at Tan Son Nhut Air Force Base in Viet Nam I ran into a guy in the Air Force that was Military Police “AP” for Air Police. We met in a bar in Saigon while he was on R&R in from intense battles in an area further “in country” where he told me his fantastic tale that was too wild for me to accept. He said things were pretty intense where they were positioned and honestly didn’t expect to make it back the next time. As a result he told me he had to tell “somebody” about what he witnessed while stationed at a base in New Mexico because it was too important to die with him. He talked about a UFO he was assigned to guard in a hanger and beings he got to view connected with the crash of the craft.

What he was sharing sounded crazy but the way he spoke about every detail of the craft and beings with such personal astonishment and fear and genuinely motivated by a need to have somebody he could confess to really resonated as true. I set that compelling conversation aside because I felt he was genuinely telling me what he experienced but I had no place to put it in my concepts or belief systems. Besides, we were in the middle of a war with ground fire, mortars and bombings taking place daily redirecting my attention to getting through the day and staying on top of all daily activity from an Intelligence perspective.

After returning to Subic Bay Naval Air Station in the Philippines I had to deliver a briefcase of classified documents to Clark Air Force Base further north near Manila. There I spent a couple of days there and met another Air Force Sergeant that told me about his confusing experiences while stationed at a New Mexico Base. He also told me about seeing bodies of “people from outer space” that were involved in a crash near where he was stationed. Again, this seemed quite sincere and genuine and very concerned still trying to sort out the ramifications about what he witnessed. Hearing this same wild sounding story with the same details in different countries from different men about a base in New Mexico was too coincidental to dismiss. The mythologies used in my Intelligence training for discernment made me realize there was something to these stories but I let it go. Two unrelated sources confirming common location and highly unusual events without identifiable motivations have little, if any, reason to dismiss explanation.

Upon returning to the US I was stationed at Miramar Naval Air Station North of San Diego for my last year of service instructing Top Gun pilots on map reading, mission orientation and SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance & Escape) training. Although I had occasionally asked about UFOs the conversations either fell on disinterested ears, joked about or I was quickly reminded such matters were highly classified and further inquiry would raise questions about my motivations and create security clearance concerns.

After leaving the service I returned to Denver where I decided to make my home after being stationed at Lowry Air Force Base and meeting my fiancé whom I married shortly after my active duty discharge. My family life, including a new daughter, and job doing aerial photo work for a geologist took up all my time leaving little for such philosophical and galactic consideration. After my wife died following a 4 year bout with cancer I had turned 30 and had an 11 year old daughter to raise. I devoted my life to my then Commercial Real Estate career, daughter and immersed myself in civic matters and community volunteering to keep busy doing things that positively changed the future of my community and State while being able to avoid a relationship.

My daughter had graduated High School and moved to Southern California with her fiancé to start her own life.

In 1985 I met two guys at a 4th of July Picnic that reopened my curiosity about UFOs. I was outgoing at that point in my life and always inquisitive. As we were sitting in the field on folding chairs waiting for it to get dark enough to watch the fireworks I asked some questions getting to know them. They told me they had recently graduated from college and spent several months traveling the western states before going to work as accountants. I asked them what they found most impressive in their travels to experience adventures before starting their careers. They looked at each other and laughed in common acknowledgment of unquestionably knowing their answer. They both said “Cainville, Utah” in unison.

They then took turns sharing pieces of their story about what they said was” the most dramatic experience of their life”. They had stopped for dinner at the only desert roadside eatery they had found in hours. It was nothing more than a metal cargo crate with one end opened up serving diners (they were the only two customers) on folding lawn chairs out in the open.

After finishing a very basic Mexican meal they asked the man, Dennis Leird, what there was to do in the area since it was Saturday night and they had been driving all day. Dennis said nothing, there’s absolutely nothing to do. Look around, you’re in the middle of the desert. After joking about things to do they asked Dennis “what do you do on a Saturday night?” He responded “watch UFOs”. They laughed and asked him “seriously, what do you do?” He again said I sit outside and watch for UFOs. He then told them its about dusk and no one is stopping to eat so if they wanted to wait for him to close up they could drag the chairs out in the field away from the light from his house and watch the skies.

According to the two of them they all went into the field and set up chairs facing the mesa top and just visited as the darkness set in. After a while the lights of a plane came over the mesa and Dennis said keep an eye that plane (it was quite dark by then). They said “when the lights got close to overhead they stopped and lights separated and went in every direction then returned to reconfigure as one then shooting off into the sky faster than they could follow.”

Both of them told me they were scared at that point and nervous about sleeping in their car that night. The two said neither of them would ever guess they would have believed UFOs existed if they hadn’t witnessed that dramatic display almost as though the performance was intended for them alone. It was quite clear they were extremely shaken up and they were still very afraid trying to rationalize and understand what they had witnessed.

Once again, two very credible (non-UFO believer) witnesses with no apparent motivation talking about a very personal and upsetting experience that changed their lives in a very profound way. I didn’t do anything at the time because I had a very full and demanding life including serving in leadership positions on several boards, Panels, Committees and Commissions at the same time. From time to time I would reflect on their story and wonder what it all meant.

In 1987 I was journaling and as l had done for years writing down an important question forcing myself to answer in writing so the thought would be complete and well thought through. The question this time was “If I were to die tomorrow, what would be the most meaningful experiences I’ve had in life (with the exception of family matters)?” I spent two days thinking of and making note of about a dozen of my most powerful experiences. the most significant one was building a sailboat from scratch on the Island of Guam with two friends and traveling in the South Pacific. This in part was special because we were constantly sailing over the Marianas Trench, the very deepest part of the world’s oceans. I was also very afraid of deep water so that compounded the experience.

.I then took a couple of weeks looking at my answers hoping to find something out about myself that I wasn’t aware of before. It struck me that they ALL had some common denominators. #1. I was taking educated risks, #2. I was confronting, or overcoming, my fears, #3. I was going beyond my perceived limits, #4. I was exploring something I had never done before, #5. I was physically experiencing something firsthand, #6. My perception of life was forever changed after each experience, #7.

I realized I was on to something significant because every single thing I listed had the same seven things in common. Understanding i was just discovering something terribly important about myself I thought I need to do something about my new awareness and my personal uniqueness. It then struck me, if these are the most important and meaningful things to me why not design the rest of my life pursuing these experiences?

I then formed “The Adventure Club” constantly scheduling off the beaten path adventures inviting friends who had interest to join me. Since I’ve been deathly afraid of heights we’ve done paragliding, ultra-lights and gliders but have also done inflatable kayaks, dog sledding, cattle drives, caves, snow caves, canoeing, windsurfing and more. We also, rented haunted hotels, went on annual camp trips in high UFO activity sighting areas, Bigfoot expeditions, a dowsing workshop, orb workshop, telekinesis workshop, full moon cemetery campout and other paranormal related activities.

After encountering a great number of unexplainable experiences with others with an amazing degree of success I began scheduling more outings in pursuit of paranormal understanding. Usually these began with tongue-in-cheek designs with the potential to possibly experience something. To my absolute surprise the unexplainable experiences and encounters by myself and others on these outings combined with my pre-planning research made it apparent there was absolutely something to these stories of the supernatural.

The more experiences I encountered the more serious I became about the structure of these events, expeditions and outings. I have been forced begrudgingly through my personal experiences to reconsider nearly every opinion I ever had on most supernatural or paranormal topic. Soon I began documenting these experiences with various types of recording equipment then inviting other seasoned well equipped paranormal research groups to join me on these excursions to high activity areas.

I was asked to speak at the final meeting of a group called “The Listeners” in Denver in December 2004. This group formerly called the Art Bell Club, named after the popular nighttime international radio program, presented speakers on various paranormal topics. This club had been existence since 198? but no longer had anyone interested in running it in its current circumstances. Those in attendance were so disappointed about the end of their organization it didn’t seem right to let it die. I had spoken to the host of the organization and he told me about the complicated internal politics that insured the end to its long run.

After thinking about, all the supernatural experiences I had encountered, the fascinating people I’ve met and the seemingly unlimited amount of credible documentation on an unending list of paranormal subjects I realized it wasn’t right to let the two dozen people that attended my presentation down. Since I had served on over 90 boards, panels, committees and commissions in various organizational capacities I realized I needed to do something that would feed my curiosity as well as fill a void being left by a dying organization.

I immediately started outlining the objectives of a new paranormal organization to conduct monthly meetings. At least to see if there was any interest. I called the organization the Paranormal Research Forum since I wanted it to be more interactive than a lecture series. Hearing about a Colorado man named Mark Macy that claimed to have spent about 15 years developing a device that supposedly provided the ability to communicate with those that passed on. Looking at his website indicated a well thought out approach to these matters with very compelling results. I was happy Mark agreed to speak and got things underway for the first meeting.

After identifying and booking a Panera Bread restaurant location in Arvada, CO that could seat about 30 people I printed a little speaker notice to give to a few friends that said they were interested. I also sent out about 20 e-mails. I knew a dozen that were interested in the possibility of communicating with those that had passed and said they would show up. I was a little apprehensive about the first meeting and the logistics since half the small uncomfortable booths faced the wrong direction. As the scheduled time was fast approaching more and more people started piling in.

Soon I filled the room up and needed to talk with the management about setting chairs up outside the glass doors as an overflow. Several people came up to me wanting to share their personal experiences as I was frantically scrambling to find a microphone and accommodate the now 55 people that arrived. My concern about a dismal turnout had turned to a chaotic shuffling to get things underway and accommodate the crowd that had arrived. I, along with those that attended, felt a great magical thing was happening that filled a real void in our culture. Although the place was crammed with far too many people for the accommodations in very difficult seats with a very poor semi-functional speaker system everybody suffered through what actually was outstanding information including photos, audio and video evidence collected from around the world providing documented evidence that the afterlife not only existed but was accessible from time to time for interactive communication.
